Meet the new and improved VJ XTRM 2. Still using the same iconic super sticky butyl rubber outsole but with a new more comfy upper and plush midsole. The best of both!
We find the VJ’s to fit a half size small and recommend going up a half size on your normal running shoes.
Best use: The VJ XTRM 2 is made for rocky and technical trails. The aggressive lugs and Butyl rubber outsole combo grips dirt, mud, rocks and any other surface your adventures bring.
Upper: The upper is made of a super durable, light and breathable Schoeller Keprotec® material produced in Switzerland. The Soft Heel technology reduces pressure from the heel bone and Achilles tendon and makes the heel fit like a glove. Toes are left with a bit of extra space to spread, which improves the runner’s balance.
Midsole: Another area updated for version 2 of the XTRM is the midsole. With an increased stack height and using a new EVA blend, the midsole has more cushioning and comfort than before. The added benefit of a full-length rock plate which offers protection to your feet on tough terrain.
Outsole: The grip sees no change and still uses 6mm deep butyl rubber lugs that are hands down one of the grippiest around. Come wet rock, moss or mud the VJ XTRM’s will stick.
VJ says “The XTRM 2 was built for obstacle course racing, trail and sky running and swim run. Use it for tough, demanding terrain in all conditions. This shoe wants to get dirty.”
The XTRM 2 is also Bluesign approved, which means that only sustainably developed production methods have been used.
