Best use: A fell running brand bringing out a well-cushoined ultra shoe. Well, VJ have done just that. The Ultra has had much anticipation in the build up to its release, and wow it hasn’t disappointed. Great for spending long days on the hills when comfort is key.
Upper: As with all the VJ line up you can find an incredibly durable upper on the Ultra. A Kevlar and polyester blend helps keep them light and breathable without compromising on their durability. VJ’s signature FITLOCK system helps keep your feet comfy and secure in the shoe.
Midsole: Using a highly cushioned midsole for maximum protection and comfort out on the trails. While sometimes having more cushioning can make a shoe feel unstable or non-responsive this is certainly not the case here. Thanks to a wider platform the Ultra feels super stable even when cornering and the ride while well cushioned still give you a pingy and responsive ride. So maybe not just to be used for ultras…
Outsole: 4mm deep butyl rubber lugs give you all the grip you need to let you tackle any terrain in your path.
