Mad River. As the name suggests, it's out there!
But look at the method in the madness and you've go a shoe which works perfectly well on its own merits, with added potential for obstacle course/wet weather use. Ice and slippery vegetation, perhaps even limestone.... well, a traction upgrade comes in the form of strategically positioned metal bolts directly screwed into the outsole where illustrated on the tread pattern.
We kid you not.
Versatility doesn't end there, as the Mad River also features a clever lacing system with both eyelets and lace loops which means people with all kinds of issues, or foot shapes ought to be able to tailor the fit and feel incredibly comfortable/secure in this shoe.

Otherwise, for £100 (less than other trail shoes in its class) this is value for money - straight from the box!
