The VJ XTRM claims to have “the best grip in the world”. We fully agree with this, from wet rocks to muddy descents the VJ’s don’t put a step wrong. Kevlar woven into the uppers help with durability even in the roughest of conditions.
- Fell running when only the best grip will do
- 4mm drop (12mm/8mm)
- 250g in men’s size 8UK
We find the VJ’s to fit a half size small and recommend going up a half size on your normal running shoes.
Best use: The beauty of fell running is its simplicity, get up and down a chosen hill as fast or slow as you like. You need very little to make this possible, however, an incredibly grippy pair of shes never goes amiss. Say hello to the VJ XTRM, we feel one of the best fell running shoes around.
Upper: Using kevlar woven into the upper fabric not only helps with the durability and longevity of them but also reduces the flex of the shoe to help keep your feet secure in the shoe. VJ’s signature FITLOCK banding over the inside of the shoe further increases its hold of your foot even when contouring.
Midsole: The combination of responsive cushioning and low stack height offers a nimble and responsive ride. The rock plate sandwiched between adds an extra layer of protection from intruding rocks or sharp objects.
Outsole: 6mm deep butyl rubber lugs are hands down one of the grippiest around. Come wet rock, moss or mud the VJ XTRM’s will stick.
VJ says “From your local trails to ultra sky marathons the VJ XTRMs have the grip and protection required for you to push the boundaries of what you think is possible.”
