The Hoka Torrent 3 has received some small changes to an already great shoe. It’s now lighter than before after Hoka stripped back the upper and with an even grippier outsole.
Best use: Much like the older version the Torrent 3 is a lightweight, nimble-feeling trail shoe. Ideal for taking on adventures from your door. A new upper is lighter and more breathable and the improved outsole rubber is grippier and with improved durability.
Upper: Slimmed down to a single-layer mesh, saving on the overall weight of the shoe while keeping your feet cooler even on hotter runs. The addition of TPU overlays running across the shoe improves the durability and fit.
Midsole: Using Hokas Profly cushioning system for a cushioned landing and snappy takeoff, combining this with their Early Stage Meta-Rocker this shoe wants to push you onto your toes and get you running.
Outsole: 4mm multi-directional lugs use a new rubber that is both grippier and more durable than older models. Giving you all the confidence on the trail day after day.
Hoka Says “Fast. Fluid. Fun. Utilizing the same PROFLY™ midsole construction for forgiving landings and propulsive toe-offs, the Torrent 3 has been reimagined with a stripped-back upper. Pared down from double to single layer engineered mesh, breathable high-performance yarn is joined by a TPU overlay for extra support and a new rubber outsole that’s stickier and more durable than the last iteration.”
