The Hoka Bondi 8 got lighter than before and has even more softer cushioning. It’s Hokas long distance work horse shoe.
Best use: A shoe designed for distance and comfort, with lots of soft and springy cushioning, and a flared midsole to help keep you stable. Once you get going in the Bondi you don’t want to stop.
Upper: Using an engineered mesh that’s highly breathable keeping your feet cool even in the heat. A padded, partially gusseted tongue wraps across your foot for a secure fit.
Midsole: Using a new foam that’s both lighter and more cushioned and with a new flared billowed heel for a more cushioned landing and smooth transition.
Outsole: Strategically placed Durabrasion rubber is used across the outsole. It boosts the durability while keeping the weight to a minimum.
Hoka says “One of the hardest working shoes in the HOKA lineup, the Bondi takes a bold step forward this season reworked with softer, lighter foams and a brand-new extended heel geometry. Taking on a billowed effect, the rear crash pad affords an incredibly soft and balanced ride from heel strike to forefoot transaction.”
