Inov-8 X-Talon 210
Back to the days of the 190. Although Inov-8 have made some serious upgrades. Designed for racing at high speed over the toughest of terrain the 210 is super flexible and lightweight. Weighing in at just 210g you barely know you have it one; until you hit wet rock that is. Thanks to the new sticky grip rubber the outsole provides better grip on both wet and dry conditions. Giving increased confidence to smash the descents while still feeling glued to the ground.
The upper of the 210 is softer than that found on the 230, making it far more comfy to wear straight out of the box. With little more breathable upper the 210 allows water in far quicker but the water drains. I found this out having stepped in several bogs and puddles whilst making my way around the Ilkley Moor Fell Race.
As said I recently put mine to the test at Ilkley Moor Fell Race. The race was tough, and the conditions really didn’t help. The ups and downs were great, highly technical with wet mud and rocks all the way. I was so impressed with the grip I had, it felt like I was glued to the tracks and paths. Towards the top of the moor was the only time my feet got wet since the ground was water logged.
Okay so the orange might not be for everyone but I do really like it and even better is that Since I have got them muddy they have got a tiger print pattern from where I cannot wash the mud off them. Which to be honest looks super cool.
