When: Every Thursday, 9:30am for approximately 60 minutes, includes warm up and down.
Where: Woodland Discovery Centre/Cafe
How To Find it here
Equipment needed: Suitable running shoes for trails. Clothing suitable for the weather.
We invite you to join us up at the Woodland Centre for a run in the woods, then the usual chit chat afterwards.
We’ll explore the woods, yet the emphasis of WoodRun is Running Technique and Stability. We often host three groups with more than enough coaches on hand to help. There’s the ‘Intro Group’, ‘Getting It’ and ‘Got It’ groups. Speed is irrelevant, a willingness to have a laugh and develop your running technique is much more important.
Bring some extra spending money if you wish to make use of the cafe on-site.
All abilities welcome for a fun, coached session within this beautifully preserved area.
9:30am (please try to arrive by 9:15am if you can).
On-site parking and cafe for after the run.
Keep an eye for news about the weekly WoodRun session on our Facebook ‘events’ page here
All the money raised from the WoodRun sessions stays with run groups.
Monies raised go back into the Community to ensure Run Leaders and Coaches become qualified. More importantly WoodRun is looking to help other running groups in the City. We can help towards the cost of ‘Leader Qualification’, even send in a coach to help you design and organise led runs, or technique sessions to help your runners. Feel free to get in touch via the Contact Ussection of the website.
Part of the money is also used to contribute to the upkeep of the OutdoorCity Run Routes.
