Supporting Rotherham 10k

Accelerate are pleased to confirm we will be supporting the 2022 Rotherham 10k and 1 Mile Fun Run. The date has been set for Sunday 15th May, with the event taking place from Clifford Park.  The main event starts at 10am giving the runners plenty of time to return to see the 1-mile junior and family fun run starts at midday. Worldwide Virtual 10K Masters Challenge Championship.   The running year started promisingly enough for me with a chilly England qualifying half marathon in Helsby, Chester in January. Being freezing cold I nipped round in 1:43:39 so I could get back to my big coat as soon as my legs would carry me, 1st F65 and qualifier for England International in Fleet in March.   Storm Dennis put paid to my February BMAF 10K Championship in Poole. The Race That Wasn’t…

‘Shambolic’, ‘Disorganised’, ‘Disgraceful’ and ‘Embarrassing’ are just some of the words used to described the fiasco that was the 2014 SIG Insulation Sheffield Half Marathon.  Today, the battle over who said and did what to ensure water supply to the event rages. Yesterday, the Chairman of the Trustees, Robert Jackson,  for the event has said that if refunds are given to every runner then the company would go bust and there would be no future half marathon in the city.
