So, here we are talking about how we at Accelerate have taken to adapting our knowledge and experience into a personal shopping experience.
Normally when coming into our store you would find yourself holding a cup of tea or coffee, or if you are like me and weird, a glass of water. We would measure your feet, analysing your running to gain an understanding of the shoe you are after. All this and so much more in order to help find the shoe, best suited to you and your running.
However, along with so many others, we have had to revise how we operate, keeping you and our staff safe. With safety precautions, policies and procedures we have had to change the way we find you the perfect shoes.
So, here is where the Accelerate personal shopping experience comes in. And no, unfortunately, we are not just looking for the prettiest and most colourful shoes. But of course, it helps. We do however want to help you find the best shoe for your running needs.
It all starts by booking an appointment either, through our website here >> or over the phone. Choose a date and time which best suits you. There are only 2 available appointments per time slot. You will be asked to leave us with some contact information and a brief description of why you are visiting the store.
Arriving in store you will be asked to hand sanitise, as well as ensuring you have a face mask. Observing social distancing guidelines, we will ask you to be seated on one of the benches during the appointment. Don’t worry they will have been cleaned.
Discussing with you the needs of your new shoes. We will also run you through some exercises to check your strength and stability as well as look at your foot shape. With the first pair, we will talk you through how to ensure you have the correct fit and what you like and dislike about that pair. All so we can continue to make progress into finding you the best shoes.
Taking the shoes outside we will make sure you can run in them, you like them and we will also look at your gait and give you any tips on your running, if the shoes aren’t right we’ll try some more on and compare them to what you have and what you’ve already tried. Until we find the best shoes for you. All our shoes and surfaces are sanitised between every customer.

If you have tried ordering from the web and can’t get the right shoe or you are not sure what you need this is something, we can help you with. Through our expertise, we can work with you to find the shoe best suited to you and your needs.
We are always happy to offer advice, guidance and help to anyone, if your struggling for motivation, just starting out or struggling with technique, nutrition or you just aren’t sure what shoes you need, there is always someone in store who can help answer a question.
