Simmering day in Sheffield for the 1/2 marathon

2nd place in the Sheffield Half Marathon! 2nd isn’t 1st so can’t be entirely happily but still knocked over 2 mins off personal best. Considering my lack of any distance training this was quite encouraging. Big congrats to John Franklin who came 1st. Believe it or not, when john and I were at school we played second row together in the school rugby team. Maybe the 2012 Sheffield Half Marathon should go down as the triumph of the fat boys come good!
