Discovered running in his 30s, when dared to try a Cross Country.  Has since competed on Road and in Fell runs from 10k to Ultra distance, finishing as first Brit in the Iceland Ultra Marathon 2009.  Likes getting dirty.  Training properly since Feb 2013, running to Heart Rate – finding form he always suspected was there, but struggled to tap into.  Already scooping prizes in the Team category for both Team Accelerate and Dark Peak Fell Runners.  Looking forward to more in 2017.

Currently returning from injury and aiming at full form in time for the Sheffield Round Run.

Always runs for fun, wins things by accident.

Best result – 15th in High Peak 40 Mile Challenge 2013, an hour off my PB for 6hr 45min finish.
Most pleasing result – Long Tour of Bradwell 2013, after bailing half way in 2012, the 2013 race took me a respectable 6hr 29min, despite set backs – having broken my face against a dry stone wall only 3 miles in.
Recent successes include his 50 mile PB at the Ladybower50 and an all time Half Marathon PB for Sheffield Half Marathon during 2016.
