The OMM Kamleika Jacket is one of the lightest and softest waterproof jackets available and fast becoming the best choice for fell and mountain running. The Kamleika Jacket is made from OMM's Gelanots fabric which is both stretchy and comfortable for active movement on the hills, but is also at the upper end of breathability ratings for performance outerwear.

Compared to the Kamleika Smock, the jacket has a more relaxed fit making it more versatile as the user can add or remove layers underneath depending on the environment and conditions. The Kamleika Jacket also has 4 pockets for a map, a compass, food, or other clothing such as gloves or a hat, making it an alternative choice for other outdoor activities such as lightweight trekking and adventure racing.

The jacket has a full length zip, a roll away hood with peak and adjustable face drawcord, adjustable cuffs, adjustable hem drawcord and reflective detail on both rear seams. With fully tapped seams, the Kamleika Jacket is fully waterproof and OMM race approved, and would therefore also be ideal for mountain marathons such as the LAMM and Saunders, and Open Adventure events. The jacket when used with the Kamleika Pants also meets the Fell Runners Association (FRA) requirement for full waterproof body cover for FRA fell races.

How the GELANOTS fabric works:

- It's an elastomeric (means stretchy) hydrophilic laminate bonded to a knitted outer (which is unusual)

- The hydrophilic laminate "breathes" well and better still because of the knitted outer (more open than a weave structure)

- It stretches (elongates because of its knitted outer and recovers shape because of the elastomeric laminate)

- The result is that the fabric is highly breathable and the garment is silent in use
