More than just a Team! This fun loving group bring together a host of essential skills and disciplines required in adventure racing. Whether it's navigation, kayaking, sailing, climbing, ultra distance mountain running or cycling, the key remains a fantastic sense of Teamship.
Originally formed back in the early 2000's the Team has to date recorded much success and a whole series of fireside stories that will leave you howling with laughter and determined to give adventure racing 'a go'!
There are a number of key ingredients that clearly ensure the Teams success and these are clear as soon as you meet any member of the Team. Our Team members lead a fit and healthy lifestyle with a superb sense of Teamship and Cohesion and have clear goals and objectives: Team Specific, Team General and Individual. But above all, they know how to enjoy themselves.
So with new Team Partners confirmed for 2007, clear goals and objectives in place and events and training weekends confirmed; Team Accelerate welcomes the coming challenges of mountain running, long trail rides and plenty of adventures!
Our goal is to challenge and become the best British Team and in doing so raise the profile of the Team and our Team Partners. Enjoyment through being in the Team and from competition is paramount in raising the profile of Adventure Racing in the UK, including the encouragement of newcomers and fellow competitors.
Our drive and determination to compete and win is present in everything we do from training to competition. We strive for excellence but keep in mind that whilst we want to win we also want to enjoy what we do and support each other as part of a cohesive and close knit team.
