I am a recreational runner, with a very strong leaning towards off road running. I'm not fast, and approach running very much as a fantastically fun thing to do. I'm not into racing, PBs and other performance related aspects of running. A great result from a 'race' or event is if the run has been enjoyable. My ideal day out is running over the hills and returning with sense of fulfillment and achievement. I came to running relatively recently. My background is in competitive national and international sailing, mixed with numerous old style Polaris Challenges.
